Brad Akrofi vs Chiamaka Aidoo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Western Ghana promoted show at Mel Dubango Gym, Takoradi,  taking place on 26/06/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Western Ghana Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brad Akrofi (12 - 9(1) - 2) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Chiamaka Aidoo(11(8) - 1) from Takoradi, Ghana.  Both Akrofi and Aidoo weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richard Ofosu-Ayeh, and the three ringside judges are Makalo Antwi, Naeem Adusei and Zain Karimi.  

Round 1: 

Aidoo connects with a cross.  
Aidoo gets on the inside.  Aidoo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Akrofi quickly recovers. 
Aidoo gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Aidoo is looking to close the distance.  Aidoo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Aidoo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Aidoo feints a jab, and then lands a stinging overhand right.  
Aidoo closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Aidoo steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Akrofi steps inside.  Aidoo lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Akrofi steps away from his opponent.  Aidoo is looking to force the stoppage!  Aidoo slams a hurtful left hook into his opponents body.  AKROFI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Akrofi now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Aidoo advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  Aidoo clinches his opponent.  Aidoo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Akrofi's kidney. 
Aidoo throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Aidoo ties up his opponent.  Aidoo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Aidoo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Aidoo steps inside.  Aidoo pivots to the side of his opponent.  Akrofi throws a left hook, but Aidoo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Aidoo pushes his forearm into Akrofi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Aidoo.  
Aidoo finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Akrofi steps away from his opponent.  Aidoo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Aidoo hits home with an overhand left.  
Akrofi is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Akrofi's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Akrofi's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Akrofi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Akrofi steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Aidoo hits home with a firm right hook.  
Aidoo closes the distance.  Akrofi throws a right hook, but Aidoo clinches his opponent.  Aidoo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Aidoo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
