Juan Veras vs Martyn Braden

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Ericsson Exhibition Hall Ricoh Arena, Coventry,  taking place on 02/08/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Veras (9(6) - 0) who hails from Taguig, Philippines and Martyn Braden(6 - 4 - 2) from Cardiff, UK.  Veras weighed in at 160 pounds, while Braden weighed in at 160 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John McBride, and the three ringside judges are Rodric Valentine, Zain Salam and John McQuay.  

Round 1: 

Veras gets on the inside and digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  Veras clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Veras pushes his forearm into Braden's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Braden tries to keep the action at long range.  Veras attempts to land a cross, but Braden blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Veras advances into close range and drives a left hook into Braden's body.  
Veras lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Veras advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Braden throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Veras steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Veras is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS BRADEN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Braden almost instantly recovers.

The ref breaks Veras's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
