Jeremie Giraudoux vs Olympe Gillard

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 16/08/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jeremie Giraudoux (14(10) - 2(1)) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Olympe Gillard(10 - 10(3)) from Laval, Canada.  Both Giraudoux and Gillard weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid Leys, and the three ringside judges are Sid Leys, Louis Gillespie and Tujan Racine.  

Round 1: 

Giraudoux steps inside and whips in a big right hook to Gillard's ribcage.  GILLARD IS HURT!  Giraudoux attempts to land a right hook, but Gillard slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  Gillard almost instantly recovers. 
Giraudoux walks Gillard onto the ropes.  Giraudoux drives a left hook into Gillard's ribs.  
Giraudoux tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gillard is looking to keep his distance.  Giraudoux hits the target with a hard jab.  
Gillard tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Giraudoux feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Giraudoux is looking to keep his distance.  Giraudoux sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Giraudoux forces Gillard to retreat onto the ropes.  Giraudoux drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Giraudoux lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, KNOCKING GILLARD DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Giraudoux ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Gillard pushes his forearm into Giraudoux's face.  The ref breaks Giraudoux's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Gillard quickly recovers. 
Giraudoux closes the distance.  Giraudoux sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gillard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Giraudoux is looking to close the distance and walks Gillard into a corner.  Gillard attempts to land a left hook, but Giraudoux sidesteps and counters with a spiteful left hook.  GILLARD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Gillard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Giraudoux lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gillard almost instantly recovers. 
Gillard throws a left hook, but Giraudoux ties up his opponent.  Giraudoux pushes his forearm into Gillard's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Giraudoux lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Giraudoux tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Giraudoux's body.  
Giraudoux lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Gillard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Giraudoux is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gillard throws an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Giraudoux is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gillard's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Gillard's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gillard's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. Giraudoux advances into close range and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Giraudoux quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gillard is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Giraudoux sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Gillard recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Giraudoux pivots to the left of his opponent.  Giraudoux tries to land a left hook, but Gillard blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Giraudoux manouvers Gillard into the corner.  Giraudoux lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gillard tries to keep the action at long range.  Giraudoux lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Gillard sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gillard throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Giraudoux closes the distance and connects with a firm right hook.  
Giraudoux steps inside and crashes a hurtful right hook to his opponents body.  GILLARD IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Gillard throws a left hook, but Giraudoux clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Giraudoux pushes his forearm into Gillard's face.  The ref breaks Giraudoux's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Giraudoux lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Giraudoux ties up his opponent.  Giraudoux leans on his opponent using all his weight. Giraudoux uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gillard behind the head. Giraudoux tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gillard's kidney. 
Giraudoux sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Giraudoux SLAMS a FIERCE right hook into his opponents face.  GILLARD IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Giraudoux!
