Leighton Coughlan vs Killian Cooney

Boxing Daily Report from the Leprechaun Promotions promoted show at City Hall, Belfast,  taking place on 22/07/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the British-Northern Ireland Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Coughlan (31(15) - 2(1)) who hails from Belfast, UK and Killian Cooney(11 - 13(4) - 2) from Belfast, UK.  Coughlan weighed in at 199 pounds and 15 ounces, while Cooney weighed in at 200 pounds and 9 ounces.    As Cooney came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Oisin Beirne, and the three ringside judges are Duncan McRay, David Hastie and Daniel Maguire.  

Round 1: 

Coughlan tries to keep the action at long range.  Coughlan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Cooney could be stopped here, if Coughlan can find the right shot!  Coughlan lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS COONEY SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Cooney now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Coughlan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Coughlan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Coughlan throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Cooney walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Coughlan hits the target with a ramrod jab.

Cooney steps inside.  Coughlan drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Coughlan holds on to his opponent.  Cooney leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Coughlan is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Coughlan and breaks the clinch.

Cooney throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Coughlan's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Coughlan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Coughlan steps to the outside and lands with a spiteful jab.

Coughlan tries to step out of his opponents range.  Coughlan drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Cooney throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a spiteful left uppercut.  COONEY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Cooney recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Coughlan feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Cooney almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Coughlan lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Coughlan lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Coughlan lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Coughlan tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a jab.

Coughlan lands an overhand right to the head, a jab to the body and an overhand left to the head, AND DROPS COONEY!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Coughlan!
