Gervasio Marciel vs Lorenzo Ascencio

Boxing Daily Report from the Sucre Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Huerta, Guayaquil,  taking place on 22/07/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gervasio Marciel (7(4) - 2(1)) who hails from Duran, Ecuador and Lorenzo Ascencio(7 - 1 - 2) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Marciel and Ascencio weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gig Ascencio, and the three ringside judges are Felippe Noa, Juan Hernandez and Rio Garcia.  

Round 1: 

Marciel lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Marciel drives a right uppercut into Ascencio's body.  Marciel clinches his opponent.  Marciel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Marciel.

Marciel steps inside and manouvers Ascencio into a corner.  Marciel lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Marciel is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.

You can sense the frustration from Ascencio now.    He throws a hook, and catches Marciel low!  The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.  
Marciel gets on the inside.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Marciel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Marciel lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
The right shot from Marciel could be enough to force the stoppage!  Marciel lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DROPS ASCENCIO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  It looks like Ascencio has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Marciel lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND DOWN GOES ASCENCIO!  He manages to get up at 7.  He doesnt look in good shape though! Ascencio is still on wobbly legs as the ref signals that the fight is over.  The winner by TKO is Marciel!
