Khalid Kechra vs Obaid Belmondo

Boxing Daily Report from the Garabetian Promotions promoted show at Ahmed Tengour Gym, Algiers,  taking place on 15/08/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria-Alger Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Khalid Kechra (2 - 4 - 2) who hails from Algiers, Algeria and Obaid Belmondo(2 - 5) from Algiers, Algeria.  Both Kechra and Belmondo weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Adnan Thomson, and the three ringside judges are Faisal Belkaroui, Abdul Javid and Khalid Yachir.  

Round 1: 

Kechra sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Kechra hits home with a left hook.  
Kechra gets on the inside.  Belmondo connects with a right uppercut.  Belmondo tries to land a left uppercut, but Kechra blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kechra dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Kechra.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
