Jake Day vs Edward Halloran

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at SECC Hall, Glasgow,  taking place on 12/08/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jake Day (6(4) - 0) who hails from Oklahoma City, USA and Edward Halloran(5 - 11(1) - 3) from Birmingham, UK.  Day weighed in at 130 pounds, while Halloran weighed in at 129 pounds And 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Marcus Couch, and the three ringside judges are Anton Adam, Peter Cullen and Peter McWethy.  

Round 1: 

Day gets on the inside and digs in a firm right hook to Halloran's body.  
Day connects with a stinging left hook.  
Day gets on the inside.  Halloran throws a right hook, but Day holds on to his opponent.  Day is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Day is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Day steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Halloran recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Day lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Day clinches his opponent.  Day leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Day's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Day walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Day throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Day clinches his opponent.  Day is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Day lands a right uppercut to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Day lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Day holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Day pushes his forearm into Halloran's face.  The referee warns Day and breaks the clinch.  
Day throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Day ties up his opponent.  Day tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Halloran behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Day throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Halloran tries to step out of his opponents range.  Day lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Day attempts to land a jab, but Halloran sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Day steps inside.  Halloran throws a left hook, but Day clinches his opponent.  Day uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Halloran behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Day lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Day gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Day manages to force Halloran into a neutral corner.  Day lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  Day holds on to his opponent.  Day leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Day to stop holding.  
Day slams a mean left hook into Halloran's ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE HALLORAN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Halloran almost instantly recovers. 
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Day dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Day digs in a solid left uppercut to Halloran's body.  
Day lands a solid right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Halloran's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Day advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to Halloran's ribs.  
Day feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Day closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Day connects with a CRUSHING right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE HALLORAN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Day tries to land a left uppercut, but Halloran blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  Halloran almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Day is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Day lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Day lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Day lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Halloran hits home with a cross.  
Day gets on the inside and slams a big right hook into his opponents body.  HALLORAN IS HURT!  
Day senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Halloran and just needs the right shot.  Day is on target with a potent right hook to Halloran's body.  HALLORAN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Day lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND KNOCKS HALLORAN DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Day!
