Leighton Chemutai vs Michael Akdag

Boxing Daily Report from the African Boxing Kingdom promoted show at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi,  taking place on 11/10/2042:

Clearly African Boxing Kingdom have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Kenya Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Leighton Chemutai (21(17) - 1) who hails from Kisumu, Kenya and Michael Akdag(6 - 6(1) - 4) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Chemutai and Akdag weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rashid Salih, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Lihalakha, Rich Ashira and Oja Leresae.

Chemutai lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Akdag almost instantly recovers. 
Akdag forces Chemutai to back into the ropes.  Chemutai is on target with a stiff jab.  
Chemutai switches the action to the outside.  Chemutai feints a left, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Akdag's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Akdag's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Akdag steps inside.  Chemutai pivots to the right of his opponent.  Akdag tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Chemutai steps to the outside and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Akdag closes the distance.  Chemutai lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Chemutai tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Akdag quickly recovers. 
Chemutai drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Akdag walks Chemutai down, trapping him on the ropes.  Akdag tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Chemutai lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Akdag almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Chemutai feints a right hook, and then hits home with a right uppercut.  
Chemutai switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Chemutai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Akdag advances into close range.  Chemutai lands a sharp left hook.  Chemutai ties up his opponent.  Chemutai is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Chemutai.  
Chemutai hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Chemutai lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Akdag gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Chemutai on the ropes.  Akdag could be stopped here, if Chemutai can find the right shot!  Chemutai DETONATES a VICIOUS cross on his opponents face.  AKDAG IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.
