Naoki Shimizu vs Taro Matsuno

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Matsudo Tanigawa, Matsudo,  taking place on 06/09/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Chiba Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Naoki Shimizu (7 - 19(3) - 6) who hails from Chiba, Japan and Taro Matsuno(4 - 3 - 3) from Ichikawa, Japan.  Shimizu weighed in at 174 pounds and 11 ounces, while Matsuno weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michi Sakamoto, and the three ringside judges are Hisoka Nakamura, Akira Kamei and Eiji Ozaki.  

Round 1: 

Matsuno steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Matsuno lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Shimizu sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Matsuno lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Matsuno advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Matsuno pivots to the left of his opponent.  Shimizu wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Matsuno dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Matsuno quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Shimizu is looking to close the distance.  Matsuno throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Matsuno closes the distance.  Shimizu throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shimizu's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Shimizu's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
