Juan Escalante vs Alejandro Valverde

Boxing Daily Report from the Rico Boxing promoted show at Diego Moreton Gym, San Juan,  taking place on 05/09/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-San Juan Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Escalante (7 - 10(4) - 2) who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Alejandro Valverde(4 - 9 - 2) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Both Escalante and Valverde weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quico Sereno, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Mayor, Angel Zambrano and Lisandro Barillas.  

Round 1: 

Valverde pivots to the right of his opponent.  Escalante throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
