Apostol Marusak vs Faddei Mastel

Boxing Daily Report from the Sakuwaha Promotions promoted show at Dnipropetrovsk Chromy, Dnipropetrovsk,  taking place on 06/09/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ukraine-Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Apostol Marusak (9 - 6(2) - 4) who hails from Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine and Faddei The Master Mastel(30(15) - 20(9) - 1) from Dniprodzerzhynsk, Ukraine.  Marusak weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces, while Mastel weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lazar Gaikov, and the three ringside judges are Volodmiri Martinka, Fadei Savrasenko and Aleksandr Kostenko.  

Round 1: 

Marusak steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Mastel waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Marusak finds the target with a jab.  
Mastel digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mastel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mastel lands a left hook.  
Mastel advances into close range.  Mastel pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mastel connects with a right hook.  Mastel holds on to his opponent.  Marusak leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mastel lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mastel advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Mastel clinches his opponent.  Mastel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mastel pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Marusak advances into close range.  Mastel pivots to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Marusak closes the distance.  Mastel lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Mastel clinches his opponent.  Mastel pushes his forearm into Marusak's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mastel.  
Marusak cuts off the ring, trapping Mastel on the ropes.  Mastel finds the target with a hard jab.  
Marusak pivots from in front of his opponent.  Marusak tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Mastel pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Marusak's liver.  
Mastel is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mastel manouvers Marusak into the corner.  Mastel pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mastel closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mastel sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Marusak lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mastel feints a right hook, and then hits the target with a hard jab.

Mastel advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Mastel clinches his opponent.  Mastel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Mastel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mastel closes the distance.  Mastel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook to Marusak's body.  
Mastel walks Marusak down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Mastel connects with a right hook.  
Mastel lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mastel lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Mastel pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mastel walks Marusak into a neutral corner.  Mastel pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mastel hits home with a firm left hook.  Mastel ties up his opponent.  Mastel uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Marusak behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mastel to stop fouling.  
Mastel pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mastel lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Mastel hits home with a right uppercut.  
Mastel pivots to the side of his opponent and DETONATES a CRUSHING right hook on his opponents face.  MARUSAK IS HURT!  Marusak quickly recovers. 
Mastel lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Mastel is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mastel connects with a sharp left hook.  Mastel holds on to his opponent.  Marusak leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mastel lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mastel pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Mastel lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mastel gets on the inside and walks Marusak into the red corner.  Mastel lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mastel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mastel hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Mastel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES MARUSAK!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Marusak almost instantly recovers. 
Marusak is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Marusak gets on the inside.  Mastel lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Mastel pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mastel pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Mastel sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mastel lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Marusak steps away from his opponent and throws an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Marusak's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Mastel lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, DROPPING MARUSAK TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Mastel!
