Peter Moyo vs Mel Pont

Boxing Daily Report from the Hendo & Chase Sports Capital promoted show at Bulawayo Phiri, Bulawayo,  taking place on 09/09/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Bulawayo Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Moyo (18(9) - 10(2)) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Mel Pont(8 - 12(6) - 3) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Moyo and Pont weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Mumbengegwi, and the three ringside judges are Noah Chipendo, Jack Shamuyarira and Matt Quilliam.  

Round 1: 

Moyo advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Moyo clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Moyo pushes his forearm into Pont's face.  The referee warns Moyo and breaks the clinch.

Some sustained pressure from Moyo could be enough to finish Pont!  Moyo lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS PONT TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Pont now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
