Jay Boakye vs Ahmed Hai

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Bellville Velodrome, Cape Town,  taking place on 11/10/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jay Boakye (10(9) - 0 - 1) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Ahmed Hai(10(1) - 3(2) - 1) from Alexandria, Egypt.  Both Boakye and Hai weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jake Tshipapayi, and the three ringside judges are Runako Mashaba, Colin Ntuli and Musa Zwane.  

Round 1: 

Boakye is on target with a cross.  
Boakye is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS HAI DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Hai quickly recovers. 
Hai gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Hai's liver.  
Hai cuts off the ring, trapping Boakye on the ropes.  Boakye throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Boakye's body.  
Boakye pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Hai quickly recovers. 
Boakye tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.  
Hai steps inside and forces Boakye to back into the ropes.  Hai throws a right hook, but Boakye clinches his opponent.  Boakye throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Boakye's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Boakye pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Hai recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hai lands an overhand right.  Hai attempts to land a cross, but Boakye sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Boakye lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS HAI!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Hai almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Boakye lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Boakye lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES HAI!  The ref does not give Hai the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Boakye!
