Matt Liston vs Mike Duncan

Boxing Daily Report from the Alhassan Promotions promoted show at Perth Woodhouse, Perth,  taking place on 17/09/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Western Australia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matt Liston (3 - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Perth, Australia and Mike Duncan(7 - 2(2) - 1(NC)) from Perth, Australia.  Liston weighed in at 175 pounds, while Duncan weighed in at 175 pounds and 11 ounces.    As Duncan came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Daniel Norman, and the three ringside judges are Paul MacNab, Noah Caffrey and John Clark.  

Round 1: 

Duncan advances into close range.  Duncan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Duncan manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Duncan hits home with a right hook.  
Duncan is looking to close the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Duncan steps to the outside.  Duncan feints a cross, and then attempts to land a jab, but Liston sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Duncan finds the target with a jab.  
Duncan is looking to close the distance.  Duncan lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Duncan dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Liston is looking to close the distance.  Liston sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Duncan lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Duncan gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Duncan hits home with a right uppercut.  
Duncan gets on the inside.  Liston throws a right hook, but Duncan ties up his opponent.  Duncan throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. As they grapple, Duncan pushes his forearm into Liston's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
