Patrick Marshall vs Alec East

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at SSE Hydro, Glasgow,  taking place on 25/10/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Western Europe Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Patrick Marshall (41(35) - 8(7) - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Aberdeen, UK and The Prodigy Alec East(38(23) - 16(7)) from Derby, UK.  Marshall weighed in at 147 pounds, while East weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Charlie MacNeal, and the three ringside judges are Peter MacLaughlin, Tom Crowe and Robert Priddy.  

Round 1: 

Marshall lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Marshall connects with an overhand right.  
Marshall sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to East's body.

Marshall switches the action to the outside and EXPLODES a FIERCE cross into his opponents face.  EAST WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  East recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Marshall tries to step out of his opponents range.  Marshall feints a jab, and then connects with a solid cross.  
Marshall lands a jab.  
Marshall stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  East throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a big left hook.  EAST IS HURT!  
East gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Marshall senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop East and just needs the right shot.  Marshall lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  He then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  East now seems to have his senses back.  
Marshall switches the action to the outside.  East sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Marshall lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
East lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...East's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  East's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  East's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

East steps inside and drives a sharp right uppercut into Marshall's body.  
Marshall tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Marshall lands a jab to East's body.  
East gets on the inside and manages to force Marshall onto the ropes.  East throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Marshall holds on to his opponent.  East pushes his forearm into Marshall's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns East to stop fouling.  
Marshall tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
East is looking to close the distance and connects with a sharp left uppercut.  Marshall clinches his opponent.  Marshall is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Marshall and breaks the clinch.  
East connects with a right uppercut.  
Marshall steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND EAST IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
East advances into close range.  Marshall is looking to force the stoppage!  Marshall lands a VICIOUS left uppercut.  EAST IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT EAST CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Marshall!
