Brendan Preddy vs Mark Monteith

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Edmonton Fontaine, Edmonton,  taking place on 18/09/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brendan Preddy (29(10) - 3(3)) who hails from Edmonton, Canada and Mark Monteith(14 - 20(2)) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Preddy and Monteith weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charles Wardrop, and the three ringside judges are John Haddow, Mark Storer and Glynn Lyne.  

Round 1: 

Preddy steps inside.  Preddy pivots from in front of his opponent.  Preddy throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Preddy clinches his opponent.  Preddy leans on his opponent using all his weight. Preddy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Preddy's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Preddy backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Monteith steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Preddy gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Monteith sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Preddy is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Monteith pivots to the right of his opponent.  Preddy lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Preddy holds on to his opponent.  Preddy throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Preddy is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Preddy about fouling.
