Amer Akhter vs Rehman Mahdi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Gujurat promoted show at Siddharth Thaker Gym, Surat,  taking place on 23/09/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the India-Gujurat Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Amer Akhter (8 - 21 - 3) who hails from Ahmedabad, India and Rehman Mahdi(7 - 10 - 2) from Surat, India.  Akhter weighed in at 236 pounds and 14 ounces, while Mahdi weighed in at 235 pounds and 7 ounces.
