Mikio Kai vs Yuichi Kikuchi

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan’s Boxing promoted show at Nagoya Adachi, Nagoya,  taking place on 25/09/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mikio Kai (5 - 5 - 1) who hails from Toyota, Japan and Yuichi Kikuchi(3 - 2 - 1) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Kai and Kikuchi weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Raiden Sando, and the three ringside judges are Yasushi Jin, Raiden Sando and Hiro Hirabayashi.  

Round 1: 

Kai finds the target with a jab.  
Kikuchi advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Kikuchi digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kikuchi advances into close range and manages to force Kai into the corner.  Kikuchi sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kai is on target with a left hook.  
Kai throws a left hook, but Kikuchi clinches his opponent.  Kikuchi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kikuchi to stop fouling.  
Kikuchi is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kikuchi gets on the inside.  Kikuchi pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Kai's ribs.  
Kikuchi connects with a left uppercut.  
Kikuchi drives a right hook into Kai's body.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kai has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
