Yulian Petrik vs Lewis Angus

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at O2 Academy, Newcastle,  taking place on 18/09/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Yulian Petrik (5(5) - 1) who hails from Poltava, Ukraine and Lewis Angus(11 - 7(2) - 2) from London, UK.  Petrik weighed in at 167 pounds and 12 ounces, while Angus weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jamie McNabb, and the three ringside judges are Chris Murphy, Ronald McAlinden and Noah Adams.  

Round 1: 

Petrik lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Petrik manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Petrik is on target with a left hook to Angus's body.  Petrik ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Petrik pushes his forearm into Angus's face.  The referee warns Petrik and breaks the clinch.  
Petrik lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Petrik advances into close range.  Petrik lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Petrik clinches his opponent.  Petrik is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Petrik dabs at his face checking for damage.  Angus recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Petrik digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Petrik holds on to his opponent.  Petrik hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Petrik steps inside and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Petrik lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Petrik lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Petrik connects with an overhand right.  
Petrik closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Angus almost instantly recovers. 
Petrik is on target with a sharp cross.  
Petrik sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Angus is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Petrik lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Petrik steps inside and connects with a firm right hook.  
Angus is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Petrik lands a ramrod jab.  
Petrik is looking to close the distance.  Petrik drives a right hook into Angus's body.  Petrik wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Angus dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Angus pivots from in front of his opponent.  Petrik lands with a spiteful jab.  
Angus switches the action to the outside.  Petrik feints a jab, tricking Angus into launching a right uppercut counter.  Petrik springs the trap and counters with  a cross.  
Petrik lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Angus almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Angus's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Angus's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Angus's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Petrik lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  

Petrik attempts to land a cross, but Angus blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Petrik finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Angus is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Petrik lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Petrik feints a left, and then lands with a stiff jab.  
Petrik lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Petrik steps away from his opponent.  Petrik sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Petrik closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Angus switches the action to the outside.  Petrik lands a stinging jab.  
Petrik finds the target with a jab.  
Petrik steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
It looks like Angus has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Petrik is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a solid cross.  
Petrik hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Petrik closes the distance and manages to force Angus onto the ropes.  Petrik lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS ANGUS!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Angus recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Petrik digs in a firm right hook to Angus's body.  
Petrik is on target with a cross.  
Petrik lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Angus recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Petrik gets on the inside and manouvers Angus onto the ropes.  Petrik quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Petrik is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Petrik ties up his opponent.  Petrik is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Petrik is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Petrik and breaks the clinch.

He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, DROPPING ANGUS TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  The ref takes a good look at Angus's eyes.  The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Angus is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Petrik!
