Cody Mahaffy vs Floyd Galle

Boxing Daily Report from the Iddrisu Promotions promoted show at Tacoma Colgan, Tacoma,  taking place on 06/10/2042:

Clearly Iddrisu Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Washington Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Mahaffy (10 - 20 - 2) who hails from Spokane, USA and Floyd Galle(12 - 11 - 4) from Spokane, USA.  Mahaffy weighed in at 126 pounds, while Galle weighed in at 126 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jack Balch, and the three ringside judges are Cole Cassel, Phil Maffett and Oliver Hines.  

Round 1: 

Galle advances into close range.  Galle pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mahaffy hits home with a right hook.  
Mahaffy throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Galle gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Mahaffy sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Mahaffy pivots to the left of his opponent.  Galle lands a jab.  
Galle sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mahaffy is on target with a left hook to Galle's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mahaffy's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Mahaffy's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Galle's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Galle closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Galle has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
