Rex McNiff vs Nathan McKay

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 14/10/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rex McNiff (6(1) - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Nathan McKay(6 - 6 - 5) from Birmingham, UK.  McNiff weighed in at 146 pounds and 13 ounces, while McKay weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charlie MacNeal, and the three ringside judges are Charlie MacNeal, William Cooper and William Owen.  

Round 1: 

McNiff closes the distance.  McKay sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McNiff digs in a solid left hook to McKay's body.  McNiff ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McNiff pushes his forearm into McKay's face.  The referee warns McNiff and breaks the clinch.

McKay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McKay attempts to land a jab, but McNiff slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
McNiff steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  McNiff ties up his opponent.  McNiff uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on McKay's kidney.

McNiff advances into close range.  McKay pivots to the side of his opponent.  McNiff digs in a sharp right hook to McKay's body.
