Joel Mulligan vs Ryo Canchola

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego,  taking place on 06/12/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel the Wedge Mulligan (9(6) - 0) who hails from Tulsa, USA and Ryo Canchola(34 - 35(14) - 6 - 1(NC)) from Valencia, Venezuela.  Both Mulligan and Canchola weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Powell, and the three ringside judges are Dave Markle, Kiki Aybar and Rich Gilday.

Canchola advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a HUGE cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE CANCHOLA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!

Mulligan switches the action to the outside and SLAMS a SAVAGE cross into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES CANCHOLA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  The ref asks Canchola to get his gloves up, but he doesnt respond.  The ref has waved the fight off...he doesnt think Canchola can continue!  The winner by TKO is Mulligan!
