Duncan Beatson vs Lucas Charles

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Promotions promoted show at Noel Albany Gym, Wellington,  taking place on 30/10/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Duncan Beatson (3 - 8 - 3) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Lucas Charles(36(19) - 8(2) - 1) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Beatson and Charles weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Dew, and the three ringside judges are Ollie Steel, Mason Bethel and Barry Christeson.  

Round 1: 

Charles lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Charles connects with a solid cross.  
Charles closes the distance and drives a telling right hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE BEATSON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Beatson tries to keep the action at long range.  Some sustained pressure from Charles could be enough to finish Beatson!  Charles lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, KNOCKING BEATSON DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Beatson now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Beatson is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.  
Charles advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Beatson closes the distance.  Beatson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Charles hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Beatson tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Charles digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Charles quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Charles is on target with a cross.  
Charles steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Charles lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Charles is on target with a right uppercut to Beatson's ribcage.  
Beatson hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Beatson's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Charles lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Charles is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Charles lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Charles steps inside.  Beatson is on target with a right hook.  Charles holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Charles's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Charles is on target with a right uppercut to Beatson's ribs.  
Charles gets on the inside.  Beatson hits home with a left uppercut.  
Charles lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Charles attempts to land a jab, but Beatson sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Charles advances into close range.  Charles hits home with a right hook.  Beatson wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Charles dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Charles is on target with a right hook.  
Beatson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Charles lands a cross.  
Charles closes the distance.  Beatson attempts to land a left hook, but Charles slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Beatson tries to land a right hook, but Charles sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Charles forces Beatson to back into the blue corner.  Charles slams a hurtful left hook into Beatson's body.  BEATSON IS HURT!  
Charles senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Beatson and just needs the right shot.  Charles crashes a nasty right uppercut to Beatson's body.  BEATSON IS DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Charles!
