Kirk Melby vs Gunnar Veen

Boxing Daily Report from the Valhalla Promotions promoted show at Valhalla Gym, Oslo,  taking place on 18/10/2042:

Clearly Valhalla Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kirk Melby (1 - 0) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Gunnar Veen(1 - 5(2) - 1) from Bergen, Norway.  Melby weighed in at 139 pounds and 6 ounces, while Veen weighed in at 139 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Thor Moen, and the three ringside judges are Quimby Tanberg, Olaf Ketelsen and Harper Underberg.  

Round 1: 

Melby is looking to keep the action on the outside and snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Melby closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Veen's body.

Melby lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Melby lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Melby lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Melby ties up his opponent.  Melby pushes his forearm into Veen's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Melby pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Melby is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Melby uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Veen behind the head. The ref breaks Melby's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Melby is looking to close the distance and digs in a weighty left uppercut to his opponents liver.  VEEN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.

Melby is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Melby lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING VEEN TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Veen has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
