Andries Manikas vs Paris Takes

Boxing Daily Report from the Mike Kontoleon promoted show at Thessaloniki Vidales, Thessaloniki,  taking place on 06/11/2042:

Clearly Mike Kontoleon have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Greece-Central Macedonia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Andries Manikas (4 - 21(2) - 7) who hails from Thessaloniki, Greece and Paris Takes(3 - 6 - 6) from Thessaloniki, Greece.  Both Manikas and Takes weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Philippe Nikolas, and the three ringside judges are Cosmas Remis, Aeolus Stamos and Abydos Mavros.  

Round 1: 

Manikas steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Takes closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Takes closes the distance.  Manikas lands a right hook.  
Takes hits home with a cross.  
Manikas tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.  
Takes closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Manikas is on target with a right hook.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Takes dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Manikas steps to the outside.  Takes attempts to land an overhand right, but Manikas sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Manikas switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Manikas's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Takes's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Manikas dabs at his face checking for damage.  Manikas has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
