John Elijah vs Robert Hackett

Boxing Daily Report from the Dirty Dan promoted show at Dallas Eid, Dallas,  taking place on 06/11/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Texas Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Elijah (8 - 6 - 3) who hails from Houston, USA and Robert Hackett(15(1) - 1) from Dallas, USA.  Elijah weighed in at 154 pounds, while Hackett weighed in at 153 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lee Magouirk, and the three ringside judges are Nicholas Wynne, Paul Mings and Andy Saenz.  

Round 1: 

Hackett advances into close range.  Hackett pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Hackett lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Hackett clinches his opponent.  Hackett is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hackett walks Elijah down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hackett drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Elijah steps to the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Elijah sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hackett finds the target with a jab.  
Hackett lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hackett steps inside.  Hackett pivots to the side of his opponent.  Hackett connects with a left hook.  Hackett holds on to his opponent.  Hackett is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Hackett pushes his forearm into Elijah's face.  The referee warns Hackett and breaks the clinch.  
Hackett closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Hackett drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Hackett gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hackett pivots from in front of his opponent.  Elijah throws a left hook, but Hackett ties up his opponent.  Hackett leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Elijah tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Hackett sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Elijah attempts to land a right hook, but Hackett sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hackett drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Elijah wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hackett dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Hackett lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Elijah lands a right hook.  
Hackett manages to force Elijah into a neutral corner.  Hackett digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Hackett clinches his opponent.  Hackett leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Hackett uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Elijah behind the head. Hackett tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Elijah's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hackett to stop fouling.  Elijah wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hackett dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Hackett sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Hackett lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hackett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Elijah steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Hackett sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Hackett closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Elijah hits home with an overhand left.  
Hackett closes the distance and manouvers Elijah onto the ropes.  Hackett is on target with a left hook to Elijah's ribs.  
Hackett drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Elijah's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Elijah's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
