Justin Fylan vs Harvey Donlon

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 03/11/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Justin Fylan (2(2) - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Harvey Donlon(6 - 8 - 3) from London, UK.  Both Fylan and Donlon weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dennis McClung, and the three ringside judges are Bruce McBeth, Iain MacCracken and Peter McWethy.  

Round 1: 

Fylan lands a left hook.  Fylan clinches his opponent.  Fylan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Donlon behind the head. The referee warns Fylan and breaks the clinch.  
Fylan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Fylan digs in a left hook to Donlon's body.  Fylan holds on to his opponent.  Fylan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Donlon's kidney. 
Donlon throws a right hook, but Fylan clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Fylan pushes his forearm into Donlon's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Fylan.  
Fylan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Fylan lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Fylan holds on to his opponent.  Fylan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Donlon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Fylan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Fylan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Fylan clinches his opponent.  Fylan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Fylan connects with a left hook.  
Fylan pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a firm left uppercut into Donlon's body.  
Fylan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Fylan closes the distance.  Fylan retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Donlon steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Fylan advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Fylan lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Fylan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Fylan clinches his opponent.  Fylan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Fylan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Donlon almost instantly recovers. 
Fylan advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  Fylan clinches his opponent.  Fylan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Fylan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Fylan lands a left uppercut.  
Donlon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Fylan drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Fylan drives a left hook into Donlon's body.  Fylan clinches his opponent.  Donlon uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Fylan's kidney. Fylan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Fylan lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Donlon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
