Eoghan Connell vs Carl McGee

Boxing Daily Report from the Iain Llewellyn promoted show at Markets Field, Limerick,  taking place on 20/11/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Eoghan Connell (14(3) - 4) who hails from Waterford, Ireland and Carl McGee(4 - 5 - 1) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Connell and McGee weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Hannigan, and the three ringside judges are Conor McCrory, Eoghan Healey and Sam Brody.  

Round 1: 

Connell is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

McGee tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.

Connell throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Connell clinches his opponent.  Connell pushes his forearm into McGee's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Connell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Connell throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Connell uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McGee behind the head. Connell attempts to land a right hook, but McGee blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McGee's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  McGee's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  McGee's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
