Darragh MacKay vs Evan Donohoe

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 24/11/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Darragh MacKay (58(49) - 10(7)) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Evan Donohoe(33(17) - 13(3)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both MacKay and Donohoe weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Rafferty, and the three ringside judges are Killian Bourne, Lewis Carroll and Mark McClellan.  

Round 1: 

MacKay hits home with a stinging cross.  
MacKay lands a ramrod jab.

Donohoe throws a left uppercut, but MacKay clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Donohoe pushes his forearm into MacKay's face.  The referee warns Donohoe and breaks the clinch.

MacKay steps away from his opponent and hits home with a sharp jab.

Donohoe switches the action to the outside and drives a cross into his opponents body.  
MacKay attempts to land a right hook, but Donohoe slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.

Donohoe advances into close range and manouvers MacKay onto the ropes.  Donohoe digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
MacKay steps to the outside and lands a stinging overhand left.  MacKay tries to land a jab, but Donohoe sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
MacKay is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
MacKay lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Donohoe pivots to the left of his opponent.  Donohoe throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives MacKay time to recover.

MacKay feints a right hook, but Donohoe does not fall for it and responds with a firm left hook.  
Donohoe advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  MacKay holds on to his opponent.  MacKay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks MacKay's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
MacKay is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Donohoe slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Donohoe advances into close range.  Donohoe pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to MacKay's liver.

MacKay senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  MacKay lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, DROPPING DONOHOE TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Donohoe has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
