Colin Groves vs Owen Blair

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Massachusetts promoted show at Boston Zahra, Boston,  taking place on 08/12/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Massachusetts Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colin Groves (18(10) - 1) who hails from Boston, USA and Owen Blair(10 - 4(1)) from Lowell, USA.  Both Groves and Blair weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Sproule, and the three ringside judges are Leo McAffee, Fred Reese and Hugh Hier.  

Round 1: 

Groves gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Groves lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Groves forces Blair to retreat into a corner.  Groves throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Groves's ribcage.  
Groves connects with a firm left hook.  Groves holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Blair pushes his forearm into Groves's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Blair throws a left hook, but Groves ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Groves pushes his forearm into Blair's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Groves to stop fouling.  
Groves lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Groves senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Blair and just needs the right shot.  Groves lands a left uppercut, right hook and a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  It looks like Blair has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Blair is on target with a right uppercut.  
Blair throws a right hook, but Groves clinches his opponent.  Groves leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blair throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Groves connects with a solid right hook.  
Groves lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Groves clinches his opponent.  Groves leans on his opponent using all his weight. Groves throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Groves gets on the inside and lands a HUGE left hook.  DOWN GOES BLAIR!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Groves closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  Groves holds on to his opponent.  Groves is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Groves digs in a stinging right hook to Blair's ribs.  
Groves is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Groves lands a right hook.  Groves throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Groves lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Groves drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Groves lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Groves drives a firm left hook into Blair's ribs.  
Groves lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Groves hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blair's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Blair's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Groves connects with a VICIOUS left hook.  BLAIR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Groves steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Blair drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Groves manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Blair attempts to land a left hook, but Groves slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Groves lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Groves digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Groves hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  Groves holds on to his opponent.  Groves leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Groves is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Blair.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Groves lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Blair pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Groves gets on the inside.  Blair digs in a right hook to Groves's body.  
Groves closes the distance.  Groves quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Blair quickly recovers. 
Blair lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Groves advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Groves sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Blair finds the target with a jab.  
Groves lands a right hook to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Blair tries to land a jab, but Groves sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Blair quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Groves lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Groves SLAMS a spiteful cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE BLAIR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Groves is looking to close the distance.  Groves knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Groves lands two right uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING BLAIR TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Blair cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Groves!
