Diego Balan vs Carlos Chaparro

Boxing Daily Report from the Sucre Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Hinojosa, Guayaquil,  taking place on 22/12/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Balan (16(7) - 6) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Carlos Chaparro(16 - 21(7) - 1) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Balan weighed in at 200 pounds and 10 ounces, while Chaparro weighed in at 199 pounds and 10 ounces.    As Balan came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Sagaz Ancheta, and the three ringside judges are Cipriano Carrera, Dario Ramirez and Xaver Mateo.
