Yutaka Shimamoto vs Kei Yamada

Boxing Daily Report from the Maloian Promotions promoted show at Jiro Oshiro Gym, Fukuyama,  taking place on 28/12/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hiroshima Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yutaka Shimamoto (4 - 8 - 1) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Kei Yamada(13 - 3 - 4) from Fukuyama, Japan.  Shimamoto weighed in at 147 pounds and 10 ounces, while Yamada weighed in at 147 pounds.    As Shimamoto came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Takeshi Yokoyama, and the three ringside judges are Jun Hironaka, Takeshi Niwa and Keiichi Nakata.

Shimamoto steps away from his opponent and drives a cross into his opponents body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shimamoto dabs at his face checking for damage.  Shimamoto has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
