Paul Fuani vs Thulani Mabena

Boxing Daily Report from the Wicker promoted show at Pretoria Mpeta, Pretoria,  taking place on 30/12/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Fuani (12 - 12(4)) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Thulani Mabena(5(2) - 2(1)) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Fuani and Mabena weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luvolwethu Motupa, and the three ringside judges are Luvolwethu Motupa, Roos Van der Linde and John Kisombo.  

Round 1: 

Mabena steps inside and lands a left hook.  Mabena ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Fuani pushes his forearm into Mabena's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Fuani to stop fouling.  
Mabena lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Mabena advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Mabena ties up his opponent.  Mabena is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mabena about fouling.  
Mabena sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Fuani throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
