Juan Palomo vs Robert Bloyd

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Belasco Theatre, Los Angeles,  taking place on 15/01/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Juan Palomo (7(5) - 0) who hails from Ecatepec, Mexico and Robert Bloyd(0 - 2 - 1) from Fresno, USA.  Palomo weighed in at 118 pounds, while Bloyd weighed in at 117 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Billy Gracie, and the three ringside judges are James Keay, John Gourley and Alec Deans.  

Round 1: 

Palomo gets on the inside and drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.

Palomo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Palomo holds on to his opponent.  Palomo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Bloyd almost instantly recovers. 
Bloyd tries to land a right hook, but Palomo sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Palomo forces Bloyd to back into the red corner.  Palomo hits home with a solid right hook.

He lectures Palomo about fouling.  
Palomo steps inside and drives a stinging left uppercut into Bloyd's ribs.  
Bloyd switches the action to the outside.  Palomo lands a solid cross.  
Palomo lands a sharp jab.  
Palomo closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Palomo ties up his opponent.  Palomo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Palomo cuts off the ring, trapping Bloyd in a corner.  Palomo lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Palomo is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Palomo hits home with a solid left hook.  
Palomo steps inside and SLAMS a MASSIVE left uppercut into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE BLOYD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Bloyd recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Bloyd pivots from in front of his opponent.  Bloyd tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a MASSIVE right uppercut.  BLOYD IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bloyd's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Bloyd's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
