John Howells vs Alastair McCormick

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Missouri promoted show at Marriott Gateway Ballroom, St. Louis,  taking place on 08/01/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Missouri Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Howells (17(7) - 5(2) - 4) who hails from Kansas City, USA and Alastair McCormick(9 - 12 - 3) from Kansas City, USA.  Both Howells and McCormick weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Sullivan, and the three ringside judges are Kris Hogge, Gethin Rodgers and Antwan Dougherty.  

Round 1: 

Howells digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  McCormick has taken some damage there.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.
