Jack Bird vs James Gilday

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Williams Arena, Minneapolis,  taking place on 21/02/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jack Bird (11(7) - 0) who hails from Calgary, Canada and James Gilday(12 - 13(1) - 3) from Provo, USA.  Both Bird and Gilday weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Phil Bertel, and the three ringside judges are Alastair Cullen, David Scholar and Robert Westlund.  

Round 1: 

Bird gets on the inside and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bird lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gilday throws a left hook, but Bird clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Bird pushes his forearm into Gilday's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bird to stop fouling.  
Bird connects with a solid left hook.  Bird clinches his opponent.  Bird is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gilday attempts to land a cross, but Bird slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Bird closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Bird clinches his opponent.  Bird leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Bird's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Bird lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bird quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gilday tries to land a right hook, but Bird slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Bird closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.

Bird drives a sharp left hook into Gilday's body.  
Bird manages to force Gilday into a corner.  Bird lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bird hits home with a right hook.  
Bird is on target with a sharp right hook to Gilday's ribcage.  Bird ties up his opponent.  Bird leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bird lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Bird walks Gilday into a corner.  Bird is on target with a firm right hook.  
Gilday quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bird lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Bird lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Gilday walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bird lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a cross to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Bird stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Bird lands two left uppercuts followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND GILDAY IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Bird SLAMS a MASSIVE right uppercut into his opponents face.  GILDAY IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT GILDAY CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Bird!
