Santiago Vas vs Xabat Florida

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at HSBC Arena, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 06/03/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Vas (17(10) - 0) who hails from Goiania, Brazil and Xabat Florida(20 - 16(1) - 6) from Reynosa, Mexico.  Both Vas and Florida weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Freitas, and the three ringside judges are Loredo Souto, Carlos Corte and Esteban Veiga.  

Round 1: 

Vas is looking to close the distance.  Vas sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Vas throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Vas holds on to his opponent.  Vas pushes his forearm into Florida's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Vas.  
Vas drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Vas clinches his opponent.  Vas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Vas wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Florida dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Florida throws a left uppercut, but Vas holds on to his opponent.  Vas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Vas walks Florida into the blue corner.  Vas is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Vas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Vas hits home with a solid right hook.  Vas clinches his opponent.  Vas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Vas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Vas digs in a right hook to Florida's body.  
Florida throws a left hook, but Vas holds on to his opponent.  Vas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vas lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Florida almost instantly recovers. 
Vas lands a left hook.  
Vas hits home with a left hook.  
Vas lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Vas manages to force Florida into the corner.  Vas lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Vas drives a left hook into Florida's body.  Vas clinches his opponent.  Vas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Vas sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Vas lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Florida sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Florida throws a left hook, but Vas holds on to his opponent.  Vas leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Vas pushes his forearm into Florida's face.  The ref breaks Vas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Vas advances into close range.  Vas pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Vas lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Vas digs in a sharp right hook to Florida's body.  
Vas lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Florida pivots to the left of his opponent.  Vas lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a cross to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Vas knows Florida is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Vas lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS FLORIDA!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Vas gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Vas thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Florida away.  Vas lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING FLORIDA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Florida now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Vas lands a right hook.  
Vas is looking to close the distance and manouvers Florida into the blue corner.  Vas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Vas lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Vas lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Florida quickly recovers.

Vas lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Vas drives a sharp right hook into Florida's ribs.  
Vas connects with a right hook.  
Vas is on target with a stinging right hook to Florida's body.  Vas holds on to his opponent.  Vas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
