Davie Moran vs Fionn McLean

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at Dublin Killough, Dublin,  taking place on 26/01/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Moran (11 - 5(1) - 1) who hails from Tallaght, Ireland and Fionn McLean(6 - 9(2) - 1) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Moran and McLean weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark McClellan, and the three ringside judges are Gareth Byrne, Nathan Fitzgerald and Leeroy MacEwan.  

Round 1: 

Moran gets on the inside.  Moran pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Moran throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Moran ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Moran pushes his forearm into McLean's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Moran to stop fouling.  
McLean is looking to close the distance.  Moran sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McLean throws a left hook, but Moran holds on to his opponent.  Moran leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Moran sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McLean attempts to land a left hook, but Moran sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Moran closes the distance.  Moran pivots to the side of his opponent.  McLean throws a right hook, but Moran holds on to his opponent.  Moran leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Moran pushes his forearm into McLean's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Moran.

McLean throws a right hook, but Moran clinches his opponent.  Moran hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Moran about fouling.  
Moran sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Moran pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left uppercut's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Moran digs in a right uppercut to McLean's body.  
Moran lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Moran quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McLean hits home with a left hook.

Moran switches the action to the outside.  Moran quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Moran gets on the inside.  Moran sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McLean is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McLean's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  McLean's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McLean's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Moran dabs at his face checking for damage.

Moran advances into close range and tries to land a right uppercut, but McLean slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Moran stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Moran lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, KNOCKING MCLEAN DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Moran!
