Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Plaza de Toros La Condesa, Mexico City,  taking place on 28/03/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sierra Pita (31(20) - 0) who hails from Reynosa, Mexico and Laken Govender(34(4) - 29(24)) from Randburg, South Africa.  Both Pita and Govender weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Gabaldon, and the three ringside judges are Guillermo Montez, Rodrigo Landaverde and Noe Brion.  

Round 1: 

Pita is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  Pita tries to land an overhand right, but Govender sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pita advances into close range.  Pita is on target with a solid left hook to Govender's liver.  
Pita closes the distance.  Govender tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a WICKED left hook.  GOVENDER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Pita stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Pita lands a left hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  Govender now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Pita lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Pita sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pita throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pita connects with a solid cross.  
Pita is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Govender is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Pita sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Govender attempts to land a cross, but Pita slips the shot and counters with a MASSIVE right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE GOVENDER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Govender recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Govender finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Pita is on target with a cross.  
Pita lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Govender pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pita drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  Pita throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Pita closes the distance.  Pita quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Pita DETONATES a WICKED left hook on his opponents face.  GOVENDER IS HURT!  
Pita lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, KNOCKING GOVENDER DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Govender now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Pita lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Govender throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Pita connects with a left uppercut.  
Pita steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Govender accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Pita.  Govender connects with a cross.  
Govender steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Pita advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Govender hits home with a left uppercut.  
Pita is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Govender lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Govender tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a HUGE right uppercut.  GOVENDER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Pita closes the distance.  Pita sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Pita lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS GOVENDER!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Pita!
