Quiqui Casco vs Jose Poveda

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Jalisco Boxing promoted show at Joaquin Vinal Gym, Guadalajara,  taking place on 30/01/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Jalisco Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quiqui Casco (5 - 14(1) - 2) who hails from Zapopan, Mexico and Jose Poveda(2 - 4 - 2) from Guadalajara, Mexico.  Both Casco and Poveda weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cisco Amador, and the three ringside judges are Oro Pando, Cuba Tiscareno and Angel Chavera.  

Round 1: 

Poveda finds the target with a jab.  
Casco is on target with a left hook.  
Casco is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Casco lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Casco walks Poveda down, trapping him in a corner.  Poveda connects with a cross.  
Casco lands a right hook.

Casco sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Poveda connects with a left hook.  
As Poveda tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Casco has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Casco connects with a right hook.  
Poveda advances into close range and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Casco walks Poveda down, trapping him in the corner.  Casco throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Poveda's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Casco's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Poveda's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
