Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Bellville Stadium, Cape Town,  taking place on 28/02/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on M-Net, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jay Boakye (12(11) - 0 - 1) who hails from Takoradi, Ghana and Landry Barthez(7(5) - 1(1)) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  Both Boakye and Barthez weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is La Vonn Dorkenoo, and the three ringside judges are Bongi Rantie, Luvolwethu Nyatama and Runako Mashaba.

Barthez advances into close range.  Boakye lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Boakye tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Boakye sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Barthez recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Barthez advances into close range.  Barthez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Barthez is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Barthez tries to land a right hook, but Boakye blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Boakye switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Barthez steps inside and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Boakye blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Barthez gets on the inside and manages to force Boakye onto the ropes.  Barthez is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Barthez lands a right uppercut.  
Barthez sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Boakye lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Barthez almost instantly recovers. 
Boakye lands a solid right hook.  As Boakye tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Barthez dabs at his face checking for damage.
