Xeres Magtalas vs Bruce Apanay

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing 2.0 promoted show at Rizal Memorial Boxing Gym, Manila,  taking place on 29/01/2043:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines-NCR Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xeres Magtalas (20(7) - 2(1) - 1) who hails from Pasig, Philippines and Bruce Apanay(15 - 7(1) - 4) from Taguig, Philippines.  Both Magtalas and Apanay weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Pasqual, and the three ringside judges are Jerrold Magat, Bronco Jacutan and Lisandro Tinajero.  

Round 1: 

Magtalas gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to Apanay's body.  Magtalas holds on to his opponent.  Magtalas leans on his opponent using all his weight. Magtalas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Magtalas lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Magtalas tries to land a left hook, but Apanay blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Magtalas stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Magtalas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND APANAY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Apanay now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
