Kai Cheves vs Leighton Atkins

Boxing Daily Report from the Darko Promotions promoted show at Vito Tomljanovic Gym, Knoxville,  taking place on 09/02/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Tennessee Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kai Cheves (14 - 14(2) - 5) who hails from Nashville, USA and Leighton Atkins(29(6) - 12(5)) from Memphis, USA.  Both Cheves and Atkins weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Dey, and the three ringside judges are Robert Davidson, Alen Williams and Leighton Taylor.  

Round 1: 

Atkins gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut.  
Atkins lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cheves connects with a cross.  
Atkins advances into close range.  Atkins pivots to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Atkins is on target with a left uppercut to Cheves's ribs.  
Atkins pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Cheves throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Atkins advances into close range and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Atkins retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Cheves accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Atkins.  Cheves hits home with a right hook.  
Cheves tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Atkins digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Atkins lands a right uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Atkins lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cheves is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.
