Scott McCleary vs Ian Ripa

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 17/02/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Scott McCleary (15(1) - 3) who hails from Belfast, UK and Ian Ripa(8 - 11(1)) from London, UK.  Both McCleary and Ripa weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Charlie MacNeal, and the three ringside judges are David McClarnon, David Hall and William Owen.  

Round 1: 

McCleary lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McCleary feints a left, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
McCleary lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McCleary steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McCleary tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCleary EXPLODES a CRUSHING overhand right into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE RIPA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ripa quickly recovers. 
McCleary steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McCleary lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Ripa is looking to close the distance and manouvers McCleary onto the ropes.  Ripa pivots to the right of his opponent.  McCleary lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Ripa throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to Ripa's body.  
McCleary is looking to keep his distance.  McCleary quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ripa steps inside.  McCleary hits home with a solid right uppercut.  
Ripa steps inside.  McCleary is on target with a CRUSHING right hook.  RIPA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  McCleary ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McCleary pushes his forearm into Ripa's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McCleary to stop fouling.  Ripa quickly recovers. 
McCleary pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  
McCleary lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Ripa advances into close range.  McCleary lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ripa manages to force McCleary into a corner.  Ripa throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Ripa sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McCleary lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  McCleary clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McCleary is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a hard jab.  
McCleary sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a MASSIVE overhand right.  RIPA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from McCleary could be enough to finish Ripa!  McCleary lands a big left uppercut.  RIPA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Ripa now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
McCleary lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
McCleary connects with a cross.  
Ripa is looking to close the distance.  McCleary lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
McCleary tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a stinging cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ripa's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ripa's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

McCleary lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Ripa quickly recovers. 
McCleary lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Ripa advances into close range.  McCleary lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
McCleary lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND RIPA IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Ripa gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Ripa sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McCleary drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
McCleary tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Ripa advances into close range and throws a left hook, but McCleary clinches his opponent.  McCleary tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ripa behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns McCleary to stop fouling.  
McCleary lands a solid left hook.  McCleary ties up his opponent.  McCleary uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ripa behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns McCleary.  
McCleary is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
McCleary is on target with a mean left hook.  RIPA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is McCleary!
