Hannes Wirkkala vs Tiitus Kononen

Boxing Daily Report from the Tatli Promotion promoted show at Helsinki Laurikko, Helsinki,  taking place on 13/02/2043:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Finland Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Nelonen, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hannes Wirkkala (20(13) - 4) who hails from Vantaa, Finland and Tiitus Kononen(22 - 13(2) - 3) from Turku, Finland.  Wirkkala weighed in at 167 pounds And 14 ounces, while Kononen weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jorma Puikkonen, and the three ringside judges are Nuutti Pihlavisto, Tuukka Tuomioja and Sampsa Asikainen.  

Round 1: 

Wirkkala finds the target with a jab.

Wirkkala is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Wirkkala holds on to his opponent.  Kononen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Wirkkala's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Wirkkala digs in a potent right hook to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES KONONEN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Wirkkala advances into close range and throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Wirkkala ties up his opponent.  Wirkkala uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Kononen's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wirkkala about fouling.  
Wirkkala lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Wirkkala holds on to his opponent.  Wirkkala leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kononen is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Wirkkala blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kononen throws a left hook, but Wirkkala ties up his opponent.  Wirkkala leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kononen's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Kononen's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Wirkkala digs in a potent left hook to Kononen's body.  KONONEN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Kononen almost instantly recovers. 
Wirkkala gets on the inside.  Wirkkala pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES KONONEN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Wirkkala crashes a nasty right hook to his opponents ribcage.  It looks like Kononen has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Kononen attempts to land a jab, but Wirkkala sidesteps and counters with a mean right uppercut.  KONONEN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Wirkkala sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kononen digs in a right uppercut to Wirkkala's body.  
Wirkkala drives a left hook into Kononen's body.  
Wirkkala lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Wirkkala crashes a DESTRUCTIVE right hook to his opponents body.  KONONEN IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Wirkkala!
