Douglas Baird vs Jamie McCleary

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 05/03/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Douglas Baird (60(16) - 11(9)) who hails from Dundee, UK and Jamie McCleary(4 - 13(1) - 1) from Glasgow, UK.  Baird weighed in at 199 pounds and 15 ounces, while McCleary weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter McAlister, and the three ringside judges are Gordon Loch, David McClarnon and Patrick McBeth.  

Round 1: 

Baird sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McCleary throws a left hook, but Baird clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Baird pushes his forearm into McCleary's face.  The referee warns Baird and breaks the clinch.  
Baird gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.

You can sense McCleary is getting frustrated in there.   He turns Baird and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref halts the action and sends Baird to the neutral corner.    He tells McCleary to stop fouling or face a points deduction.
