Aaron Edwards vs Roger Downey

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Los Angeles,  taking place on 06/03/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aaron Edwards (8(5) - 0) who hails from West Valley City, USA and Roger Downey(10 - 25(3) - 6) from Miami, USA.  Both Edwards and Downey weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waleed Naqvi, and the three ringside judges are Euan Lyon, Paul Louden and Mick Gwilym.  

Round 1: 

Downey advances into close range.  Edwards pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a stinging left hook.

Downey is looking to close the distance.  Edwards attempts to land a left hook, but Downey blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Edwards's body.  
Edwards is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.

Edwards lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Edwards switches the action to the outside.  Edwards feints a left, and then hits home with a stiff jab.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Downey's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Downey's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Downey walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Edwards is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Edwards lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DOWNEY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Downey now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Downey gets on the inside.  Edwards lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Edwards is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Edwards lands a left hook, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS DOWNEY!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Edwards steps away from his opponent.  Edwards lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS DOWNEY!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Edwards!
