Arran McCalmon vs John Grieve

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Los Angeles,  taking place on 06/03/2043:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Arran McCalmon (7(6) - 0) who hails from Nashville, USA and John Grieve(0 - 2(1) - 2) from Lexington, USA.  McCalmon weighed in at 129 pounds and 5 ounces, while Grieve weighed in at 129 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Waleed Naqvi, and the three ringside judges are Mick Gwilym, Paul Louden and Euan Lyon.  

Round 1: 

McCalmon hits home with a cross.  
Grieve tries to step out of his opponents range.  Grieve sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Grieve lands a jab.  
McCalmon advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
McCalmon closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  McCalmon ties up his opponent.  McCalmon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, McCalmon pushes his forearm into Grieve's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McCalmon to stop fouling.  
Grieve switches the action to the outside.  McCalmon hits home with a firm cross.  
McCalmon lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Grieve almost instantly recovers. 
McCalmon closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
McCalmon thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Grieve away.  McCalmon lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Grieve now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
McCalmon closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  McCalmon clinches his opponent.  McCalmon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Grieve almost instantly gets his legs back. 
McCalmon lands a cross.  
McCalmon steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Grieve is looking to keep his distance.  McCalmon hits home with a cross.  
McCalmon lands a solid jab.  
McCalmon advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  McCalmon ties up his opponent.  McCalmon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks McCalmon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McCalmon feints a cross, and then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McCalmon hits home with a stinging cross.  
McCalmon is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
McCalmon digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
McCalmon steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McCalmon tries to land a left hook, but Grieve parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McCalmon cuts off the ring, trapping Grieve on the ropes.  McCalmon is on target with a telling left hook to his opponents body.  GRIEVE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Grieve's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

McCalmon is on target with a forceful right hook to his opponents ribs.  GRIEVE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Grieve could be stopped here, if McCalmon can find the right shot!  McCalmon whips in a hurtful right uppercut to his opponents body.  GRIEVE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
McCalmon drives a potent left uppercut into his opponents liver.  GRIEVE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Grieve now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
McCalmon is on target with a left uppercut.  McCalmon holds on to his opponent.  McCalmon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McCalmon lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McCalmon is on target with a forceful left hook to Grieve's liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE GRIEVE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Grieve quickly recovers. 
McCalmon closes the distance and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  McCalmon ties up his opponent.  McCalmon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks McCalmon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Grieve attempts to land a right hook, but McCalmon slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
McCalmon steps inside and slams a hurtful left hook into Grieve's body.  GRIEVE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  McCalmon clinches his opponent.  McCalmon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
McCalmon lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McCalmon advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McCalmon is on target with a DESTRUCTIVE right hook.  GRIEVE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is McCalmon!
