Kian Clowney vs Robert Hackett

Boxing Daily Report from the Belator promoted show at San Antonio Cerna, San Antonio,  taking place on 08/03/2043:

Clearly Belator have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Texas Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kian Clowney (14 - 14(2) - 3) who hails from Dallas, USA and Robert Hackett(16(2) - 1) from Dallas, USA.  Both Clowney and Hackett weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Smith, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Hollern, Owen Bryde and Sid Hackney.  

Round 1: 

Hackett gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Hackett holds on to his opponent.  Hackett hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hackett.  
Hackett digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Hackett holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hackett advances into close range and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Hackett ties up his opponent.  Hackett is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hackett to stop fouling.  
Hackett forces Clowney to retreat into the corner.  Hackett lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hackett closes the distance and digs in a solid left hook to Clowney's body.  
Hackett hits home with a solid right hook.  
Hackett throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Hackett clinches his opponent.  Hackett uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Clowney's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hackett about fouling.

Hackett ties up his opponent.  Hackett pushes his forearm into Clowney's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hackett.  
Hackett sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Clowney's body.  
Clowney throws a right uppercut, but Hackett holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hackett lands with a solid jab.  
Hackett is looking to close the distance.  Clowney sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hackett lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Hackett clinches his opponent.  Hackett leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hackett digs in a sharp right hook to Clowney's ribcage.  
Hackett manouvers Clowney into a corner.  Hackett lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hackett lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hackett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Hackett lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Clowney quickly recovers. 
Hackett is on target with a sharp right hook.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Clowney's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Clowney's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Clowney's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Hackett knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Hackett lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS CLOWNEY TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Clowney is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Hackett!
