Rob Gordon vs Euan Archibald

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at The Trusts Stadium, Auckland,  taking place on 06/03/2043:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rob Gordon (3(2) - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Euan Archibald(1 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Gordon and Archibald weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Nesmith, and the three ringside judges are Ellis Raharuhi, Mark Kinzey and Will Bour.  

Round 1: 

Gordon gets on the inside.  Gordon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Archibald throws a left hook, but Gordon clinches his opponent.  Gordon pushes his forearm into Archibald's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gordon feints a right, and then lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Gordon advances into close range.  Gordon pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Archibald's body.  
Gordon lands a right hook.  Gordon ties up his opponent.  Gordon throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gordon.  
Gordon forces Archibald to retreat into the corner.  Gordon lands a right hook.  Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Archibald quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Archibald sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gordon lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Archibald tries to keep the action at long range.  Gordon lands a stinging jab.  
Gordon closes the distance.  Gordon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Gordon has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Gordon advances into close range.  Gordon leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Archibald is whaling away with hooks, but Gordon keeps his defence tight.  
Archibald pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gordon connects with a left uppercut.  
Archibald steps to the outside.  Archibald sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gordon hits home with a solid cross.  
Gordon is looking to close the distance.  Archibald throws a right hook, but Gordon holds on to his opponent.  Gordon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gordon.  
Gordon gets on the inside.  Archibald pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gordon throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Gordon ties up his opponent.  Gordon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Gordon hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Gordon and breaks the clinch.  
Archibald quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gordon lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.

Gordon lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
